Volterra is an ancient Etruscan town on a hill top in the Tuscany region of Italy. When I visited this town in 2009, I was amazed by its beautiful ancient landscape and architecture. Looking out from a mountain top, I was mesmerized by what I saw -- beautiful, old villas, the gorgeous sunset, and cypress trees -- but when I looked closer, I noticed that, sitting on top of the old villas, were TV antennas and satellite dishes.. the old and the new. My trip to Tuscany was a dream come true and I would love to visit this beautiful place again.
